When Should You Put Up Christmas Lights in San Diego?

The Recommended Schedule

For most North County homes, we recommend scheduling installation for early-to-mid November, so your display is ready before Thanksgiving.

  • Early November: Ideal for homeowners who want lights on before the holiday rush and first pick of installer scheduling

  • Late November: Still comfortable timing, especially for larger or more detailed layouts

  • Early December: Workable in our mild climate, though popular installers' schedules fill up fast by this point
