Rancho Bernardo homes are known for their tile roofs, and tile calls for a careful crew. Nomadic Home Services cleans solar panels throughout Rancho Bernardo using soft brushes and deionized water, with thoughtful footing and safe access planned before we ever climb up.
We're located just up I-15 in Escondido. Reach us at (619) 333-6858, any day from 8 AM to 6 PM.
Why RB Panels Need Regular Cleaning
Rancho Bernardo is part of the City of San Diego, but its climate is distinctly inland. Summers are warm and dry, rain is limited, and dust has plenty of time to settle.
What we commonly see here:
1. Dust from hills and canyons. RB is surrounded by open space and slopes, and dust and pollen drift onto rooftops, especially when Santa Ana winds blow through in fall and winter.
2. Birds from Lake Hodges and greenbelts. Lakes, golf courses, and mature trees attract birds, and droppings on panels shade the cells below.
3. Freeway and road grime. Homes and businesses near I-15 and major roads pick up fine particulate from traffic.
4. Film that rain won't remove. A light rain often turns dust into dried mud spots instead of washing it away.
Clearing that buildup lets your panels take in more of the sun that Rancho Bernardo gets so much of.
Careful Cleaning on Tile Roofs
Clay and concrete tile can be fragile. Stepping in the wrong spot can crack a tile, so we plan our route across the roof before we begin, using stable footing points and secure ladder placement. Fall protection is used when the roof requires it.
Once we're safely in position, the cleaning itself is gentle. Panels are washed with soft brushes and deionized, purified water, which dries spot-free without soap. We don't use harsh chemicals, and we don't pressure wash panels. Dried bird droppings get time to soak loose instead of being scraped. A final inspection wraps up every visit, and we'll mention anything we notice.
If climbing onto a tile roof isn't something you want to do, that's exactly what we're here for.
Residential and Commercial Customers
Homes. From single-story homes to larger hillside properties, we clean residential systems across RB. See our residential solar panel cleaning page.
We work in neighborhoods all across RB, including Westwood on the west side of I-15, Bernardo Heights, and the 55+ communities of Seven Oaks and Oaks North. Homes near golf courses and greenbelts tend to see more birds and bird droppings on their panels. If you'd rather not climb onto your tile roof, our crew handles the access safely.
Business parks. Rancho Bernardo's office and tech campuses along the I-15 corridor often carry rooftop or carport solar. Our commercial solar panel cleaning service handles larger arrays.
Other services. We also offer window cleaning, gutter cleaning, roof cleaning, pressure washing, awning cleaning, and Christmas light installation.
